Im Mediocre
I don’t dream in code. Yet I still call myself “technical.” I vibe-code more than anything else, and I can barely get through even the easiest LeetCode questions.
That’s fine, but in that case, show your proficiency. Have you ever made auth work with Supabase? How about SQL? I’ve been programming for 4 years yet I have never looked into databases. That’s kinda sad.
I have to learn everything fast. And that requires, beyond hyper-optimization, basic optimization. So don't waste time on obvious stuff, whether it's video games or YT, etc.
It’s fine to watch educational videos: be it math, chess, or AI. But don’t watch brainrot, lust, Instagram reels, streaming, comedy, etc. Watch research paper videos instead.
Think intellectually: if Bill Gates was my CEO and I was going to pitch him tomorrow, what would I do right now? Would I scroll Twitter? Would I open YT on my phone?
This ties back to something basic: building with intellectual peers. Being in the top 1% means the goal is to connect with others operating at that same level.
Have consistency and get work done, even if little. And, as time goes by, the time being wasted will decrease exponentially. But just start. Small progress every day.
Everything is possible. I just have to go ahead and conquer it.
